Welcome back. It's wonderful to have you once again joining us in the community and talking about your book. So in your LinkedIn bio, you refer to yourself as a smallest big evangelist. Could you take us back to when and how you got thinking about the whole smallest big philosophy? Was there a specific incident or something experience that actually made you stumble upon and discover this powerful mantra?

#authorinterview 1. What got you thinking about the 'Small is Big' philosophy?

2. What makes 'Small is Big' approach different from the rest?

Thank you so much for sharing that very personal experience with us, Amit. Isn't it amazing how such moments in life can turn out to be life changing in so many ways? Yeah, but the truth is there is no shortage of self improvement advice or strategies out there. Some would even say that there are one too many. So my question is, what makes the small big thinking different from other selfimprovement techniques and frameworks that are out there?

December 2017 I wanted to develop New Year resolutions and I was a failure earlier, I was decide on many things and do nothing. So that year I decided that if I have to only pick one habit in 2018, what will I pick? And I chose waking up at 05:00 A.m.. So I only focused on one micro habit of waking up at 05:00 A.m.. And what resulted was amazing that by waking up at 05:00 A.m., I developed other habits

3. 'Removing choices, removes clutter' - could you elaborate?

I'd like to focus a little bit more on what you just said in your response about how removing choices can remove clutter in life. And Apple, as you mentioned, is a great example, but I'd love for you to elaborate on this particular aspect a little bit more and maybe share a couple of examples or some practical tips on how this approach of eliminating choices and reducing clutter can be implemented in everyday life

Because we try to achieve too many things in a meeting. So next time we have a meeting, my simple tip for all the listeners and you is that look for only either one outcome or three outcomes. Go for a meeting and in your mind have only one outcome or three outcomes. If you do that, you will make the meeting more productive and remove clatter

4. Words of wisdom to someone working on improving themselves?

I'd like to wrap up this micro interview with one final question for you. Knowledge of selfhelp techniques is one thing, but their practical application can be a different ball game altogether. Often it can be very challenging to identify and apply the right selfimprovement technique at the right time or in a way that makes sense to one personally. In this context, what would be your advice to those who are trying to work on improving themselves in a manner that is consistent with their purpose, values and strengths?

Thanks, Ramya. Practical application comes from doing that thing consistently, isn't it? And for doing things consistently, let me share a three R framework which is given in the book small is big, r for risk, R for reward, and R for repetition. And let's let me share explain this by an example. So I wanted to develop, I was tired of the skin eruptions on my face and also bad digestion
