Apart from being this really great sounding little word, Ikigai is a Japanese word for a reason to live. It's a place where your needs, desires, ambitions and satisfaction and intersect. And I've been reading quite a bit about this concept and how it could possibly apply to my life. And when I think of this intersecting point of my passion and my talent in a way that brings value to the world around me, I can but just think of one thing and that's the work I do

I have to be honest. Can't really think about Icky Guy when finance is getting the way, you know. And I know people say, well, just live your life with passion, do what you're passionate about. But you know, it's Husky little things like bills and things like that. But if finances was not an issue, I'm very comfortable just chilling reading a book, writing, doing my podcast just very much at home with it. And I enjoy it
And then there are those other people who are in these wonderful, great paying, amazing jobs, but frankly, they really don't quite care as much about it. Which is really sad because I personally feel that in life you should quite frankly be doing something that you care about. You really care about anything else is just a waste of time. But I know life isn't all that straightforward. You have to kind of make your compromises, choose your battles and just move on

Like, for example, for me, sometimes I just want to be in my garden and just listen to a book and just garden and de weed. There's something very healing about it. Also, if you've ever been fishing, oh, my gosh. There is nothing in life quite as peaceful as throwing that pool out in the water and just feeling the line and you can feel it in your fingers and it's those little bites
