#Love It or #Hate It - Films that have split the audiences

So these are perhaps the movies that audiences have never come to. An agreement on. A classic example of this would be Stanley Kubrick's movie, 2001, A Space Odyssey. So while the movie is kind of a cult classic among Sci-Fi fans, it was too abstract and even boring to a lot of other people. And another controversial movie that had people both raving and ranting about. It was Slumdog milliner

Movies that have polarized moviegoers and sparked debates #LoveItOrHateIt #2001ASpaceOdyssey #swellentertainer #SlumdogMillionaire

I'm gonna be honest here. I didn't really understand the movie 2001, A Space Odyssey. I didn't grasp the symbolism and the philosophy behind it. Slumdog Millionaire. It's understandable that Indians didn't like it because it portrays India in a bad image. Otherwise, the movie was well made and that's why it raked in so many awards. One such movie I would like to talk about is occult classic called as The Usual Suspects

And I really was shocked because it was a great movie to me when I saw it. And then I guess it was the time I had seen it in because I was looking at it through their eyes and thinking, yeah, it's kind of weird. After a while, it became Tedious, but I still stand by it. I think it's a brilliant world that was created

#JoaquinPhoenix #Joker

I do agree with it. There is a bit of glorification of violence as well in the movie, but at the same time, I couldn't but help love Phoenix's performance in it. So yeah, tough call to take whether I love the movie or I hate the movie, but I thought it was a worthy addition to this list of deeply divisive movies. Thank you

# man from earth # Da Vinci code

Hey there. I believe fondness and preferences with movies, a specific type of movies change with time, but there are some movies that have made a Mark and continue to impress us every time we watch. And one such movie that I would like to nominate for this discussion would be Man From Earth. I remember tearing up at the end of the movie and asking myself, what if this was true?

Kiki, it's so great that you brought up The Man from Earth. It's a beautiful movie, and it's one of my personal favorites, a very original concept and a very simple, simple plotline, but that one that has such a lot of layers to it and a brilliant bit of script writing and the dialogues are amazing. You could just sit there and listen to those exchanges between the people in the movie and completely get lost in its depth

And I think what nobody doubted was that it was a little bit too long. I think the last, even 30 to 45 minutes could have been edited a little bit better. But that was one where there was a little in between everybody. I mean, it was love or hate. And the other one I'll mention is The Phantom Menace. That was the first Star Wars movie after the original three long time coming expectations super high. And there is a real love hate relationship with that movie

Hi Phil. I do agree that the Irishman could have been shorter by a good 30 minutes or so. But personally, I liked it because it was so good to see the old gang back together again. And Martin Sarsise and Peche and Deniero. I saw the movie as a logical extension of Good Fellows and then Casino. And then this kind of was like a trilogy. For me. There were a lot of similarities in the plot and all of that

2 Pixar movies...

But Wally holds a very special place in my heart, and a lot of people don't agree with me on that. The other movie, of course, is Raditouille, which is, I believe, my least favorite Pixar movie, and I still can't get it. I still don't get it. I know a lot of people love it. I never get predatory. It's just one of those things that I cannot relate to in any possible way

And I think I have no idea how I actually liked that movie. One for me that I watched. And the first time I watched it, I really didn't like it. And the second time I watched that I did like it. It was a movie called Miller's Crossing, and I think I wasn't paying enough attention at first. I don't know what it was because it is kind of a difficult movie to follow very closely

@phil

You know what, Phil? I think you really should do that. And then perhaps you could go ahead and do your micro review of the movie and talk about why you hate it so much. And I could do my review on what, why I love it. And we could have a back and forth on that because I'm game for any excuse that makes for good conversation

#sleptthroughfastandfurious8

So I went to watch the movie because I was more as company to someone who loves the series. And the franchise keeps growing. And I simply can't understand how it does. But there you go, Fast And Furious Eight, which I slept through

#Titanic and #PrincessBride. #Perception.

I guess I'm expecting the same scene to repeat over and over and over and mean something. I don't know. I'm expecting absolutely nothing. And then you get something and you're like, oh, wow. This is really good. So I really think it matters on the alignment of your perception of it. So I feel that we should not hype Andy or under hype a movie because I think that could take away from someone's enjoyment of it

I feel like her backstory had a lot of points that could have been developed, but it was cut short to few seconds, so overall, I felt like this movie was altered so much to fit in Tom Cruise's image. And it killed all of the happiness and the humor of the original franchise, which what made it famous in the first place

Hello name this Journal. I just came across your post and that's the beauty of film. Film is subjective. And that's one of the first things you pretty much learn when you study film is that it's highly subjective. And one film might really catch an audience in one way, and then it might disdain the audience in another way. And that's what film does. I will say, though, surprisingly, the film I get into a lot of discussions and debates about is Pope fiction
