New theory on why men don't equally partake in housework- Inequality of labour or inequality of cognitive load?

article image placeholderMen may not ‘perceive’ domestic tasks as needing doing in the same way as women, philosophers argue
So the theory says that men and women are trained by society to see different possibilities for action in a given situation. And this apparently is based on what is known as the affordance theory. So for instance, when a woman sees a sink full of unwashed dishes in the kitchen, the immediate urge for her is to go and wash them, while for a man, the very same site of a dirty sink is just that, a sink full of dirty dishes

So this explains why I do not like doing dishes. Makes sense. Wow. All this time I used to wonder, like, I'm wondering, why don't I wash your dishes? I got to understand. But the females seem to love washing dishes. But why do I love washing dishes? I don't get it. You explained it off. Now I'm going to use this as an excuse. Watch

So I don't think it's just about this where men see something and women see something else. So that is why they have a blind spot. And so if we help them get over it, I think it is this desire of not wanting to do the dishes. Nobody likes doing the dishes. Most people in the world don't enjoy doing dishes or laundry or things that are parts of your life like cleaning your house or unclogging the drain
