"Val" from hearthrob to heartache

article image placeholderUploaded by @Ram
I'm a little bit behind because I know it came out out in August, but I just watched the documentary about Val Kilmer called Val, and I have to say, it's probably one of the most breathtaking and most poignant documentaries I've ever seen about a celebrity and also one of the most gut wrenchingly heartbreaking stories ever. Basically, the concept he brought to this documentary is that he has been filming his life ever since he was a kid with his brothers

This is my critique of this wonderful and poignant documentary of a great actor #valkilmer #batmanforever #tombstone

Wow 🙏🙏

It was him the whole way through. I can't believe how much he filmed his own life, which was so convenient, but also his candor about his pain and his also resilience around his pain. It's an extraordinary film, and I had no idea that he did a play about Mark Twain. I missed that chapter completely, and I really wish I had seen him live on stage, portray a man that I actually love

It's one that I hold very near and dear to my heart. And he went on to have a lot of other really fantastic films even after that. But I mean, The Doors, Willow, Top Gun, these are all heavy hitters, for sure. Anyways, I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed this movie. I'm wondering, is Val Kilmer going to be somebody that's remembered in this way by people a little bit younger than me? I don't think he will be
