I feel that Oscars are really important. It's funny to me how people keep questioning the purpose of Academy awards. You never hear anyone doing that with the super bowl. Like, no one ever asks whether the super bowl is important. It's enough to just be something people like that keeps happening. If you look at the Oscars as a pure barometer of artistic worth, you're going to be very disappointed or perhaps end rates. It's a way to tell how the industry sees itself, right?
And again, that says so much about the craft and what's possible if you have the right people and you set your mind to it. It was incredible to see, not to not to perform live. I think that you could see a lot of faces in the audience sort of light up, and they had a light bulb moment where they said, wow, I need to see RR. And I'm hoping that that is the case for many people at home, because that was a magical film
