The Way It Is by William Stafford

The Way It Is by William Stafford this is one of my favorite poems. The Way It is. There's a thread you follow. It goes among things that change, but it doesn't change. People wonder about what you are pursuing. You have to explain about the threat. But it is hard for others to see while you hold it. You can't get lost. Tragedies happen. People get hurt or die and you suffer and get old. Nothing you do can stop times unfolding

Hey, radio in the Woods. I just wanted to say, I really enjoyed that poetry read. I am one that doesn't really get around to reading as much poetry as I would like, but I try to listen from time to time. There's something soothing about. Let's say that someone read it out. And I enjoyed the one that you decided to share with us today. So thank you. And I'll definitely be tuning in for more

@Taylor William Stafford

Hey, thanks so much for your reply, Taylor. Yeah. Poetry is interesting that way. You know, as someone who writes poetry as well, there are a lot of poems that I sometimes can't quite identify with or understand, although when it's read by someone else, it's usually a way into a poem for me. So you're right. Having someone read a poem is a nice way. A nice introduction to a poem. Yeah. I have other ways of reading poems

Will be checking out more of Stafford's work

I love this poem so much. Thank you for sharing. I have heard of the poet William Stafford, but I don't believe I've ever read anything by him before. And I just think it's amazing how much happens emotionally in such a short home. I'm going to go back and listen to it again. And there was something in this that feels really pertinent to this moment. We're all experiencing collectively right now
