Who's the Goat?

article image placeholderUploaded by @Professor42
Now, the inspiration behind the swell was not only that swell, but something Jordan actually said in an interview. And one of the things that Jordan said in that interview was when people walk up to him and they say, hey, you're the Goat. You're the greatest of all time, he laughs, and he laughs it off

You don't see people doing the hook shot now, so the hook shot almost looks like a corny shot. You don't see people doing underhanded free throws like Rick Barry, so it almost looks like a girly move, right? People would say, oh, man, why are you shooting like that? When it could have actually helped Shaquille O'Neill, his free throw percentage, but he didn't want to do it. Why? Because he didn't want to look silly

Hey, professor 42. It is JL. And you can take my feedback with a grain of salt because I am not an avid sports. I will watch whatever my son is playing. I will watch the Super Bowl because I enjoy the energy and the snacks and the commercials. But I don't have a favorite team. If I'm wearing a team shirt, it's likely because someone I might have been in a relationship with bought it and they wanted us to have matching shirts

But you did bring up a great point that Dewuan also brought up, which was, how do you define or how can you say you're the go to the greatest of all time when you haven't played? Some of the variables I had mentioned are some of the same variables in which people use as a crutch to say, okay, this guy is the best. You have the player with the most rings, bill Russell. You have perhaps the most true dominant score in Will Chamberlain

No, Jordan was my idol, and I've always idolized Jordan, and I think that's a big part of how he played and how he established himself as a player. But if you want my honest opinion, it's got to be Will. I don't think rings should take into total account of how great a player is. You have players like Rabbit Ore, Houston Rockets. Five rings and he's not anywhere near Steph Curry. LeBron Will? Bill Kobe? Jerry west? Larry Bird?

Not only does Michael Jordan being a legend, an icon, is not enough, but now he would have to fast forward and go back in time to purposely only play the top players in. That's not how basketball works. It's the survival of the fittest. It's not about who's in the top whatever. There's a lot of good players that played on bad teams. They couldn't be helped. I feel for me, it gets to be very fickle in the debate

I'm going to follow this up very quickly and just want to say I'm pretty impressed that there's someone on this app that can actually have a conversation with on this level as far as going back to the Houston Rockets. 94. 95 Chicago Bulls. Jordan going to baseball Shack. And Penny James Harden. Who is pretty much I agree 100% they have an answer for him come play off time
