Is Poetry Your Only Art Form…???

What's up guys? This is your favorite LaQuita with another episode of Powerhousepoets. I hope you all are doing well out there. Have a question for you. Have question for you. Are you ready? Are you ready? I wonder, is poetry your only art form that you use? And I'm asking that because I know when writing poetry, we hear a lot of people, people, they'll sing in their poetry

That's a brilliant idea, because I know that when I'm using these other creative endeavors, it's sparking my creativity. It may lead to my writing. Wood burning is something that or wood torching is something that I enjoy a lot and has actually sparked some of my poetry. So I just want to thank you for sharing. That's brilliant. Thank you. Thank you

Thank you for that. I have different ways of adding to my poetry. I just want to thank you for those two words and it does give me the strength and encouragement to add more. So let me just see what happens and come up with the poetry and hopefully it's it will help someone and encourage someone as well as peace

They have a wonderful masterpiece that they create with their name on it and put it in, like, a little gallery where you may go to a restaurant, a local restaurant, and say, hey, can we post this around here? And then use your marketing to get people to go in. And another way to monetize is to actually sell the paintings, and then the money goes to whatever organization that you create

So that's kind of what I've been thinking about over the last few years when it comes to my poetry, is that how can I really maximize what I do with my poetry? So what I've been doing is adding well, what I was doing in the past maybe, I don't know, 1015 years ago when I was doing poetry in Birmingham, I would add theatrics to it

Good morning. Swell family, becky here. I do have a couple of other art forums that I do practice besides strictly writing poetry. Writing poetry? Prose, fiction and nonfiction. I also take a lot of scenic photos, and they kind of tandem hand in hand. When I'm unable to write, I focus on photography. When I can't get out for pics, I write. And I've realized that I need to start my mornings to a more shiftable perspective upon my eyes

Hey, Laquita, this is Stephen. Thank you for asking this question. I think it's a really great question to think about. So my thoughts on it are that poetry can be a song. I don't know that there has to be necessarily a difference between a poem and a lyric. And that's part of the beauty of listening to poetry versus just reading it, is you get the musicality out of it. So I bet there's a lot of poets that are also great singer songwriters

Hey, Steven, thank you so much for replying to my podcast. I love it. Yes. I will say that a little bit about the difference in what I'm talking about when you're blending two different art forms is that poetry and song lyrics are very, very similar. Because the lyric is basically like a poem. Before you add music, music to it, add that instrumental to it or whatever, and even at that musical element to it

I mentioned to you paint pouring, which by the way, you could do. I don't care if you cannot paint at all, you are literally pouring paint and then it's a free flowing paint. So you let it move and mix and mingle and it's like poetry. Mom, I want to see your first one because I'm telling you right now, YouTube that and you are done. But I was thinking because that is so fluid and can go so fast

If not, you can just wait until something else comes through. But really just trying to position you to where you can do what you love but then take it to the next level. I'm always about taking things to the next level. Like, okay, yes, you're a poet, but you only perform in one genre. Why not add another genre? Why not add another genre?
