Upload option for Swell? Anyone seen The Batman?
It has definitely been a minute since we last did a swell and I must say I have missed it and a lot has changed since we were last year. New interface, new updates, lots of things, but something that I would like to see implemented would be the ability to upload without just recording them like this. So an idea or an example being that if you want to promote a new podcast episode or maybe a clip, maybe you could just upload it straight to here
I think initially, like a lot of the film people I follow, I mean, the overwhelming majority loved it, but the audience is having a different experience for the most part. Curious to know. I know you said you liked it, but what about it? Did you really enjoy maybe even compared to some of the more recent Batman films we've had? And was there anything about it that really stood out to you as something you would have avoided or done differently?
We get to see some Detective work like this is an actual Detective Batman and everything is just a lot more visceral. And it's not as triple a blockbuster as the Nolan films and it's not as camp as some of the earlier films, I. E. Batman and Robin Batman Forever, but it still manages to capture that Gothic feel that the Timber and movies had

And as crazy as it sounds, the Gotham that I felt was closest to the one that I imagined as a child is the one in Batman Forever, which is the camp is turned up really high. But because the Nolan one is, like you said, very bright, it's essentially New York. And then you have the Burton one, which is dark and whimsical. But I didn't ever feel like it was dialed up as much as it could have been, especially given Burton and his background
And just one of the ways it helps to do that is through Gotham City. And there's always going to be people that don't like Michael Keaton, they don't like Robert Patton, they love Christie and Bale and everyone is entitled to an opinion. But I think for people who are literally discounting this movie purely because it's Robert Pattinson is a massive disservice to not just Mr. Pattinson himself, but the movie industry as a whole
