Refresh Friday’s: Let’s Pretend

article image placeholderUploaded by @PKBriggs
Well, so for this refresh Fridays, I'm going to tell you about a conversation I was having with my Barber today. I went to get a haircut and we were talking about virtual reality. These headsets, I don't know the proper words that they're pushing. Now a lot of people have them. I have a good friend that has one. I have a few friends that I think about that have them and you can put them on

But I so understand that a lot of people don't want to do anything but run away because it's a tough time right now. Even the most lucky people are feeling a heaviness, but we are all taking that queue from the gratitude gurus out there telling us to take inventory and feel blessed, and that's a beautiful thing to do

But the actual thing that's happening in terms of the game and the simulation and the clay that happens and what is fundamentally essential to us as humans, then it just takes on a whole, nother dimension. When you go to that sort of space with it. After going through most of the research and experimentation, I tried to play more games as opposed to less games because I used to think, oh, man, I could be doing so much. I could be outside

Can one play the game and be a part of the game but not be consumed by the game? The game is not your reality. We are using gaming in school for the purpose of teaching the technology on that level and on that aspect is relentless. We've come far from just showing images on the board and teaching students using chalk

@WeddedPath thank you!

And I'm like, how are you doing? And she's like, you know, the best you can in this crazy situation. And I was just like, wow, because that is a real answer. That is a real feeling and sentiment, the best you can in this crazy situation. And maybe these games are the best people can do, or we can do in these crazy situations. Thank you, Jerry. Have a great weekend, peace

@soulcruzer

Hey, Clay, good morning to you. Probably because it's probably morning. There about 11:00 p.m.. Here. Yeah, I hear what you're saying. I enjoy games. I understand why people want to play them, but for whatever reason, they were never that appealing to me, right to the level and the role that they play. And I guess in some folks'lives now I kind of get what you're saying because it is life

@DBPardes agreed, sadly

Hey, Deborah, thank you for jumping on the swell. And I think that I listened to your response twice. And it really just lives right. In the first thing you said, the world is so messed up right now that the operation opportunity to create something where it cannot be messed up, where things can be okay. And you can have control is more powerful than we might actually realize. Yeah. Wow. That's agreed. Thank you for responding to this. Well
