article image placeholderUploaded by @realbriggster
Good day, friends. Good day. It is forecast Wednesdays. Forecast Wednesdays. Yes. Yes. I love a theme. Pk here and on the forecast is a storm front of Tsunamiimposter Sydrome. That's what I'm here to talk about for this moment in this day. Right now. Tsunamiimposter Sydrome. I am becoming almost overrun by my brain, my neuroplasticity, my rewiring, my positive thoughts, my quotes

@aShamaninJourny

An intentional mask worn by a Shaman in Journey.

Who are we? Really? Because creating this mask or identity that brings about this feminine energy of safety and security allows us to then travel within ourselves, journey within ourselves, and ask those real, tough, difficult cosmic questions as to who are we or what are we? And as a shaman and journey, the shaman peace is a mask, right? It's an identity that I intentionally put on

Imposter syndrome and systemic racism

And so that kind of just wanted to share that experience of having these conversations around tsunamiimposter Sydrome, what it means, where it comes from, and how it impacts marginalized people the most. And why. And there's also a study by Dr. Jacqueline Echols, where she talked about how students who have experiences of marginalization are more likely to be successful if they have a strong grounding in their own culture and they understand their own personal cultural history and are connected to their roots

@kimestryarts Thank you 🙏🏾

Kim, thank you so much for sharing that. I feel like I might have heard that about the people marginalized folks or people of color. And like that Association with the Tsunamiimposter Sydrome. If you do find that article, I'd be really interested in reading it. And if you don't mind spelling Jacqueline Echo the last name. I was trying to Google it, but I think I just need to know the spelling of the last name, but I love resources and I love material
@aShamaninJourny

Thank u for contextualizing this topic. @kimestryarts

And then to even go deeper very briefly because a certain race or culture has been intentionally forced into a designed environment space such as the ghetto. Then you have certain psychological spiritual effects that happen, right? You put me in a cage. I eventually start to act like an animal because you treat me like an animal. Right. And then it comes to a point where the person has acted like an animal so much. And this is just symbolic

Dr. Eccles

I'm so glad you guys appreciate what I shared, and I will spell out the last name, the author here and look up the other article and share it with you later. Pk I just need time to get on my laptop and find it. But what I wanted to add is that we internalize a lot of the things that were told about ourselves. Even if we have a strong understanding of who we are as people, we still are impacted by systemic racism, I believe

@kimestryarts Thank you for naming the things 🙏🏾🙌🏾 and the resources

And being a person that occupies the LGBTQ space, being the L and so navigating through that identity and living into that identity and even within those fears, still seeing how pervasive like white supremacy is and how it just so nefarious and systemic and it just gets in us whether we are, like you said, fully actualized, strong people believe in ourselves, all these things, the messages creep in, and they're everywhere

If this was an elective, sign up me up!

What an incredible swell. So I this yeah. How do we deal with these negative emotions? So the tsunami. Right. And from what I was listening to, I actually do want to add something to this. I agree with what Kim said and how important it is based off what you shared, the author and how important it is to understand our own personal culture

And I think the way tsunamiimposter Sydrome is tied into this for me, is usually my anxiety is triggered by some sort of tsunamiimposter Sydrome, right? Which is triggered by me pushing myself in new ways or trying to form new habits or ways of being that aren't comfortable for me that are maybe more in line with how I want to intentionally be in the world or pursuing dreams that feel really scary and makes me feel really vulnerable

@bowie Being gentle with ourselves ❤️

I love that buoy. I love that, like forgiving ourselves. There's nothing wrong with it. And then the beauty that comes from the storm or what we get from the storm. Thank you so much. And I loved your post by your name. Bye
