Shower Episode

article image placeholderUploaded by @Pixiepoet4life
I must warn you all, however, who listened to this post, that this piece is definitely a little on the risque side, might I dare even say a bit erratic. So listen to it with that in mind, and just be warned. The title of this piece is Shower Episode. That is the prompt that I was given. Shower Episode standing under delicious wet heat, water cascades over naked folds of truth

Oh, my goodness. That is just hot. That is hot. Extremely hot. You kill erotic poetry. That's amazing. I love it. That is so good, girl. Okay. Novel next. Good job

Thank you, beautiful. I appreciate you. I was so scared to do erotic for so long. Everybody in my poetry circles would challenge me, like, you got to do it. You got to bring us some erotic pieces. We love your other work. You got to do erotic. But I really was kind of frightened of that genre for the longest time. I didn't think that I would be able to deliver something that would actually connect with the audience

Well, good morning. This is amazing. I might have to go have a shower episode myself after listening to this. Woo. Nailed it. And just your delivery and your voice and everything just made it a complete package. So lush and beautiful and yes, very erotic. More more of this. Thank you

An after shower hug

You can see from the photo, the edges are frayed. Even my pages are starting to yellow. I believe this was a used book that I purchased, heavily suggested to me by the book owner, bookstore owner. And I remember taking it home and kind of leaving it on the coffee table. And then one night, out of boredom, leafing through it and coming across some poems, and let me tell you, led to some really spicy alone time

And I just really enjoy doing these pieces and creating and being able to share my creative with all of you and have such positive, kind feedback. It's fantastic for me. So thank you so much and I just appreciate you so much for leaving that feedback. And yes, I will definitely bring more

That is so beautiful to be able to share scenes from your life and your experiences and how they relate to this piece. I appreciate you for that. I also appreciated your sharing the piece at the end from the Erotic book. I love that that was short and sweet and to the point and definitely resonated. So thank you so much for joining this thread and joining the conversation
@ReneeBrookes
Okay, I'm going to start by saying that I probably made the mistake of listening to this at work in the office, but wow, that was just so amazing. The imagery was just wonderful and beautiful and just the words just like that was amazing. And I want to applaud you for putting that out because I write poetry like this, too, but I don't really know how it's going to be received

And so for me, it was necessary that I take the step to start really dealing with erotic pieces and expressing my sensuality and my sexuality in my poetry because that is an integral part of what and who I am. So it took a lot to post this. I'm still getting used to putting myself out there in this particular arena. And so I wasn't quite sure how this would be taken on Swell, but so far I've gotten nothing but beautiful and amazing feedback

Hello, you. No apology needed. No qualification needed. I think everybody is very happy to indulge and succumb and blossom with you on this one. It's delicious. Very sensual. Yeah, you went there. I like this side of you. I'm not surprised that you are so in tune and so able to spoke in words. Kind of, as you say, succumbing to something so beautiful and primal, almost

It painted a beautiful picture. And scene. It was honest and it honored the form of self and being in the essence I'm sorry. Of sexual desire. And it was just beautiful. And I still felt like I want to peek from between my fingers to make sure that I was alone. That is always how they make me feel, at least for me, when I'm reading things like this and even writing it's like a completely different person. Who is this?

So for me to not allow myself to write poetry that includes that I am denying a part of self that is so very important to the actuality of who Maria is. Do I want people to see her? Do I want people to really know me? Or am I so scared of judgment that I will run from my own reflection? And that's what I think I was doing in past times is running from my own reflection. I will no longer do that

The only thing that stops us is when we allow fear to interrupt our thought processes and our developmental design. We allow fear to stop that. And so I am constantly trying to tell myself all the time, do not allow fear to stop you from anything. Do not allow fear to keep you from developing. Do not allow fear to create a barrier between you and your destiny, because that would be a crime. Who you are is who you are supposed to be
