Memphis Tigers legitimate threat in NCAA Hoop

article image placeholderBates, No. 3 in
So the first thing I did upon hearing the news as I looked up the odds of Memphis winning the National Championship, and I'm not sure if these odds are updated, but I can find anywhere from 18 to 40 to one. And I don't think that that's a bad bet. And I don't know how much money you can actually get down on futures right now, but you got to assume Memphis is going to absolutely tear through their conference and you're probably getting a one seed

I think he's more of a me guy compared to a team guy, but I'll be interested to see how Hardaway in Rashid Wallace and all those guys handle him. But more importantly, his dad because usually parents ruin this from what what I've experienced in small sports circuits. But he's a generational talent, and I hope it doesn't go to waste

You know, I don't know too much about him or his father, but I am very familiar with that situation. And that situation can be extremely damaging to a team success and to a team's chemistry. So I also think, on the other hand, though, if they can't work something out, having Rashid Wallace, Penny Hardaway and Larry Brown on that staff, then nobody else is going to be able to have success with him at that collegiate level

My Ypsilanti Story

And I say that lovingly because I'm from an old mill town in New England, which was also pretty rough, but nothing was going to prepare me for what I saw when I was looking at my first apartment in the Upsilani. As I was being shown around the apartment, the police performed a raid directly across the hall in the same apartment complex, literally right in front of my eyes, front row seat to it all
