Kentucky Derby Winner on verge of Disqualification- Everything explained

article image placeholderDerby champ faces DQ; Baffert banned by track
Now, as you may or may not know, I'm very big into the horse racing industry, and I wanted to come on swell and just explain what all is going on and what the implications are. This is not unprecedented. This happened in 1968 with Dancer's Image. Dancer's Image won the Kentucky Derby and a week later was found to have a drug overage and was disqualified from the wind. So it's not unprecedented. It has happened before with Bob Baffert. Bob Baffert is the trainer

Now I do have a question. So I know that horse racing in a lot of circuits really revolves around the vetting process. And I am curious. Like what happens now? I'm sure that they've already paid out the people that supposedly I can imagine that if I lost a bunch of money, I would be pretty p***** knowing that one of the horses was essentially doping. Yeah. What happens now? I'm really curious

No change on bets but a lawsuit is pending by bettor Swift Hitter

Taylor, it's a great question and the very short answer is that nothing is going to change from a betting standpoint from a betting standpoint. Once that race goes official, the winners are paid out and the losers have worthless tickets. After that. Really nothing that will be done from that aspect. Even if he is disqualified, nothing from a betting standpoint will change

Bob Baffert and his lies. This is embarrassing but this is who he is.

And I have to say that I for 01:00, a.m. Pretty embarrassed by this whole thing. It's a sport that I love. I've met a lot of great people that are complete animal lovers in this sport. And the one thing that's true that we're seeing is that this is who we know Bob Baffert to be. And this is why he hasn't been very popular with other horsemen and horse racing fans. We've kind of seen this

The national press coverage on BB has been tough great and honest

But when you have a niche product covered by niche broadcasters, a lot of the broadcasters that are coming in are either current or past trainers, jockeys. And then you have some other people that may have gone to journalism school, and, I don't know, get the short end of the straw to get horse racing
