Thursdays Games!

article image placeholderUploaded by @Phil
I think you're going to see a lot of stoppages in play with the clock going down. I think with the clock being stopped between plays and I think it could be a four hour game. I like Purdue here. I'm sorry. I like the over here. I just think there'll be too many opportunities to score and I think they will moving on. Arizona State. I'll let Brady get into this more. But Arizona State, their top two running backs are out

Big day for the Big Ten and @tonymo MSU and @bradypoppler ASU!

Would that make it more interesting, or would that take away from the top four kind of buying for top four? I just feel like, look at how awesome March Madness is, make it way more amazing and make all of these balls more relevant again. Or is it just me? I don't know. I've been asking some of my friends, too, and they're not that crazy about the ball season anymore, either. What do you think

Great question @MysticScientist

And you've really got to be a College football junkie to really still watch and love it. And I guess that's who I am and where I'm at. I'm against expanding the play off because I didn't like the playoff to begin with. I was fine the way it was. But realizing that once money gets involved in all these teams and conferences are making money, it's only going to go one way. It's never going to go in the past

I loved everything about Mississippi State just because I thought Leech wanted revenge. Sure enough, Texas Tech wanted revenge too, and I got burned on that. Looked at Beta Oregon Oklahoma game Endgame and the game already started. But I took DJ ugalula if I think I said that right. I took his prop of 185 yards over. He's already at 50. I got to check again in a minute

Re: Bowl excitement

And then even then, once the BCS came into play, there was a clear National Championship. It wasn't just so and so claimed the national title and so on and so forth. So really, I don't think it's just because the playoffs exist. I think the playoffs were the beginning to this domino effect of all these players opting out. And I mean, you've got coaches leaving right before bowls like crazy, like, way more than ever before

PUR/TENN and UNC/USC

But Tennessee has put up such random performances throughout the season and factor in the fact that they are missing some people. They come up against a Purdue team. That it's Purdue. They don't rest on their laurels and don't show up to a bulletin because they have a brand that's already protected. They're going to show up to the bullying. They want to win this game. It helps them in recruiting. It helps them in status. It helps them immensely

MSU/PITT

I mean, he had one start. It was a while ago. It was against, I want to say Delaware. If it wasn't Delaware, it was some other FCS team he played decent, and people are saying, well, it was an FCS school

WIS/AZST

I'm not touching this total today just because Wisconsin has the ability to methodically move the ball up and down the field and really slow the game down, which is going to work in their benefit in a spot like this because I just don't think that Arizona State is going to be able to have enough explosive plays to keep up at this point point with all the guys they're missing, that all being said. Last I saw, I think Wisconsin is laying a touchdown right now. Lay it

ASU v WI

So if I'm Wisconsin, I try to stop the run. I put loads up the box and make Daniels beat you. And I do think Wisconsin wins just because I just don't think maybe Arizona Spade plays a good game and I think they will play a good game. I just feel like they won't be able to score enough points

Mayo?

And I'm sure they'll be making references to it. And it does make the game a little bit more fun to watch. Watch when you know that is going to be the case. So I'm looking forward to that game now, even more so than I was and you know what they should be doing something like that in every bowl game for the coaches, it would make it just that much more interesting and fun to watch

Ok, enough of the mayo talk now

I don't know why they've he just didn't bother to show up, but they haven't. And unless Hal puts this team on his back in the second half, this game is over

So I just turned this game on cause I was at the gym. But through Twitter, I was seeing the same complaints that they just talked about. May I heard they dunked an Oreo mail. Absolutely disgusting. Kind of what these big underdog teams saw a stat on. I think I talked about it earlier, but I think if it's like, anything over ten, I think either you take those teams plus ten, probably a little more motivation or plus ten sprinkle of money line

Does this hurt Sam's NFL prospects?

But on the other hand, I could also say, well, his offensive line didn't really help him much, didn't really protect him, didn't give him a lot of time. And you'll go to the draft combine, and his physical attributes will kind of weigh out and not necessarily one ball game. I could really see either side, but in essence, I thought he had a chance to shine today, and in my opinion, he just didn't do it
@bradypoppler
Brady Poppler
@bradypoppler · 1:11
I would say his performance this year probably, you know, made his draft status a little lower than, you know, it was going into the season just because he did not have a good year at all. And some people threw him in as a Heisman candidate it and he was nowhere near that. And then you have the people on the other side of the same hollow train saying he lost a bunch of players last year. He lost his two stud running backs. He lost some good receivers

ASU starting RB info

So my previous Phil, I mentioned Rashad White. He's not playing this game. He's probably going to go to the NFL draft. He's anywhere from a second to six round pick six at the absolute lowest second at the highest in my eyes. Richard White very good player. And then Trina, another running back for ASU. He's also not playing. I like him too. But Rachel White, obviously the lead back, but Daniel Lagata, I like him a lot

Pure Tennessee crazy game 45 45. Both offenses put up a bunch of points. 2 seconds left. Tennessee Chase McGrath for a 56 yarder kicks, the fuel goal and misses it and doesn't have enough leg leg on it

Purdue/Tennesse OT thoughts

Final from Purdue. Tennessee. Purdue wins it on a field goal in the first overtime. 48 45. Let's take a look. Tennessee got the ball first at a fourth and goal on the one they run the ball and he scored forward. But the rest called a stoppage because he kind of was tackled, but he was never down. So they called forward progress so he would be down at about the half yard line or so

CRAZY game!

So I mean, in hindsight, it looked like he did score. But once the lineman comes in and says forward progress has stopped, it's not viewable. They can't do anything. So I feel for Tennessee. And then Purdue just kicking the field goal. What a wild game. I mean, I literally went to the fridge to put something away and missed a touchdown. I'm not kidding. Just missed a touchdown. Just going to the fridge

Sec 1-5!BIG10 3-0 as of now(Not including MISt n WIS still to play tonight

The SEC is one in five in bowl games. Now their only win being South Carolina, beating North Carolina So. And now the Big Ten, they're three and zero. And now they have a clash. Michigan State's playing right now in Wisconsin's, playing so will the Big Ten stay undefeated in tonight with some of these games still going on and some to play tonight. But after tonight, will the Big Ten still be undefeated? What are you guys? Thoughts
@Phil

ACC with only one win too!

It's neither here nor there. They lost. And I think SEC fans just need to get over it. Big Ten wins with the ACC. Clemson is the only team that has actually won for that conference. But they did have three games that haven't been played with NC State, Boston College and Virginia. But if things stay true tonight, I think Pit will add to another loss for the ACC Mic with another win for the Big Ten. And, you know, Arizona State and Wisconsin

What ASU team will we see?

Will we see the one that beat UCLA and Stanford convincingly, or will we get the ones that we see when they go to Utah? This game is in Nevada. So hopefully we don't see of the teams that go play in Utah like they did against BYU and Utah, the University of Utah. So we just got to wait and see what ASU team comes out to play. And if it's a good one, this game will be really good

MSU and early Asu thoughts

I was really hoping that he just came out of the gate, just flying and just carried that momentum for the rest of the game. Didn't happen. We'll see from here. It's a long way to go. I really like what I saw out of Michigan State. That was an incredible finish to an incredible ball game. Very exciting. I thought that Pitt was going to get intercepted on the ball

First two drove thoughts

Daniels looked a little better the second drive, but the outfits line didn't really help him out the pasta. Hodges on the third and ten play, Hodges has to catch the ball even if he doesn't get the feet in. That was a great ball by Daniels either way. A but you got to make that catch even if it is out of bounds. You just got to make that catch. Got a fuel goal out of it, though. 73

Wisconsin is able to run all over ASU in the first two drives, and I don't see that changing at all. So I think Wisconsin will be able to run all over ASU for the rest of the game. And that doesn't bode well for ASU. I don't know how well their offense will be able to put up points. As I feel Wisconsin can just drive down the field at will, basically because Brandon Allen is running like crazy over ASU's defense

@Phil · 0:57

Agreed! OL needs to wake up!

You got to get your head in the game, son, wake up. Focus. And Daniels needs to connect downfield so that he can open the field to have that option to run. Because when he runs, he's dangerous. I mean, he's got great legs. He can get around all those defensive linemen and linebackers of Wisconsin. He's just that much faster than them. However, he just can't do that every single time. So the offensive line needs to step up

ASU covers!!

They drive all the way down to the three. Arizona State Burns all their time out. Still, they get down to the three with over two minutes to go and they kneel on it. They do not punch it in. They do not kick the field goal. They actually needed to run a play on fourth down to burn off 3 seconds because that's what was left on the clock. Truly unbelievable. Anybody that had Wisconsin minus eight is just absolutely furious

ASU Wisc

But no Wisconsin great job up in the second half or in the fourth quarter just being able to run the clock out. I like what they did there, but I just want to give a little bit of credit to ASU of how they did play on defense in the second half. But Charlotte, Wisconsin, they won't
