Solo Traveling: Italy

article image placeholderUploaded by @paolomcm
Hey, swell. So yesterday I kind of planned a trip to Italy out of nowhere. I'm going to be there in two weeks in Milan. So if you have any tips and tricks about traveling to Italy or traveling to Europe in general, please leave a message in the comments. This is my first time traveling Italy. Thanks

And then last thing, also call up a nice hotel if you're not staying in a nice hotel and ask the concierge for recommendations on whether it's restaurants or shops or places to see because usually they're locals and so they'll know all the best places to go to. And that's all I got

Hey Emma thanks for the reply how many days do you think I should spend in Milan because like I was thinking about going to like other like cities nearby like Verona or like Genoa or like Bologna but I wasn't sure like how how much time I should spend in Milan

Right now, I wish I had the opportunity to go somewhere else, like outside of the United States, but my time will come. I just want to say that Italy is such a beautiful place to travel and stay safe. And whenever you go to any cafe shop, always ask for the super rich Rodo espresso. It's like, phenomenal. I feel like Italy has a lot of things to offer, though, especially when you go to the countryside. It's phenomenal

Hey, Samuel. Thank you for the reply and the recommendation. I know I'm actually a very indecisive person. And once I saw the tickets for the flight, I immediately I started planning everything. And then it wasn't until, like last night that I put my card information into the website. And I was so scared to press the pay button that my best friend literally pressed it for me. But, yeah, if you have any other recommendations about Northern Italy, please let me know

Hi. So I've personally never been to Milan before but I do know it's a more of a bigger city kind of like Florence and Rome which I have been to. So I would maybe do like three days there and then with the smaller places like Bernie, Rona or Pisa or Sorrento those can either be day trips or you can spend a night there. So it's really up to you. But definitely in the bigger places, two to three days is usually perfect

So I've never been to Italy and, you know, I've only ever solo travel once. But I love that you are inspired and that you booked a solo trip. I want to know, like, was this something spur of the moment it or is this something you'd been thinking about and just decided to go? But I love that you're doing the solo travel because I'm all about it and I fully support it. Where in Italy are you going? Go

But 680 isn't bad for a flight to Europe. So I booked it that evening and it really was just for the moment. Like I didn't even tell my parents until later that night and it was really scary telling them. But yeah, I'm really excited. I might hit up Florence because I'm staying in Milan. So I might hit up Florence for a day and then maybe, maybe like Como. I'm not quite sure I saw to find that out

Gelato!

I feel like that's really random, but we kind of kept that phrase with us the whole trip and ended up beating some pretty good gelato. But also it's Italy. So I don't think you could really go wrong with which gelato you choose

Hi Paolo. How was your trip? Mainly I'm Alessia from Rome. So if you like, if you like to go in Milan and also in I don't know if you have been in Verona, Bologna, you should go also in Rome because it's the capital city of Italy and this city is very beautiful. But also Milan is beautiful. So how is going on your trip? If you are still in your trip, it's already finished. Let me know. Bye

I feel so bad because I'm just seeing this now. But this would have been so useful. Gelato Shops But I literally just got back on Sunday from Italy and it was so much fun. I had so much espresso gelato and amazing other food. Thankfully, I didn't have any bad experiences with gelato. I think the only one that I didn't really like was the lemon one because it was so tart. And usually I really liked heart

Alessia. I got back on Sunday. I had so much fun. I was in Frenze and then I took a train for a day trip to Torino. And then I went back to Milano. It was so much fun. I made so much good friends. I ate so much good food. I have to visit Rome very soon. I'm honestly planning to go back in May for like a three week trip if I can, like, backpacking around Italy because I love it so much

And you need to go and visit Islands, cities and so on. Also Tropes in Calabia region are beautiful. And also Matera in Basilicata. So Italy is all beautiful. Have a lot of beautiful places, towns, coasts and that's all. So if you want to organize these trip, let me know. I can help you. And we also have fun together in Rome if you want. And yes, that's amazing

@noelle

No one I knew tried to grab stuff from it, but I also didn't carry around a wallet because I knew that people were, like, smart with how to grab stuff out of your pockets and, like, your back pockets and stuff. So I was like, make sure that I didn't do that, though. There was just, like, one instance. I didn't get anything stolen from me the whole time I was there

The one thing that I am kind of worried about traveling south of Italy is the transportation because I heard transportation isn't as easy to get from city to city as it is like central or North Italy because taking the train from Milano to was pretty easy. Or like Burrino, what are your thoughts traveling into scanner and staying there? Or like, should I do just Southern Italy

@rachell

Hey, Rachel, thank you for the reply. I'm actually back from Italy, but yeah, the weather there was I'm from Washington. So the weather was pretty much the same. Thankfully, it didn't rain or anything. And it was like pretty sunny the whole time. It was like a solid like 60 to 65 the whole time I was there, which was really nice. And I really did enjoy the museums. And I loved seeing like, what do you call it?

So that would be great if somebody can share that information and also countryside visits of Italy and then Spain and then Netherlands. Of course, the transit would be through France, so that's probably the route I'm going to follow. Surely. Looking forward to your suggestions and recommendations. Thank you. Bye
