Female genital Mutilation - Part 2(TW)

article image placeholderUploaded by @Paavita
It is an expression of deeply rooted gender inequality some society sees as rite of passage, other uses to suppress a girl's sexuality or ensure her chastity. Like I said, it is just done to save their virginity as a symbolism of their purity and etc. The exact number of the girls going through FGM is still unknown, but according to the unitf, at least 200 million girls and women from 31 countries across three continents have been subjected to the practice

People have shared their experiences so that the world would be able to know about their pain, trauma and about this practice. And I'll be just sharing that so more people would be able to understand it rather than being ignorant. Because there are people who would still justify this practice or might not be able to aware about it. And I'm not doing it for my profit, I'm just sharing something which I feel is necessary for others to know. I hope you will understand this

Here anupriya I understand your concern regarding the trigger warning thing. And after you told me, I have included it in my title to that TW. And even if I'm going to post such more things, which are very sensitive and which could trigger people, I'm including a trigger warning in that. So thank you for telling me and thank you for listening to myself
