Do trailers ruin the movie experience?

article image placeholderUploaded by @overlythematic
It for about five years. Five or six years I haven't watched a movie trailer. I don't want to have anything about the movie spoiled for me. Whether it be a character or a scene or a storyline, whatever ever is going to happen in the movie, I would like to experience it as it's happening

But ultimately, I do enjoy watching trailers before movies and I think that it can be helpful. But I can definitely applaud your stance because the joy of cinema is definitely watching something fresh for the first time. But I also think it's hard to for me personally, it's hard for me to justify spending money on a movie and not having an idea of what I'm about to see, especially if I see something cold and it doesn't turn into an enjoyable experience

Okay, question for you. How do you decide what movie you do and don't want to see and what makes you excited about it? I'm assuming it's based on a written description, but then I would pose the same questions. If trailers can be spoilers, can written descriptions also ruin things for you? I mean, in reading books

Essentially, that visual representation of what may or may not be happening throughout the film. And you asked, if I'm not taking that into consideration, what does influence my decision to choose to watch a movie? And that criteria, it can change depending on the day or my mood or the movie itself, the title. And it could come down to just who directed the movie

Ah, yes. As a movie connoisseur, you would have different reasons for choosing a movie. For whatever reason, it did not cross my mind. But this makes sense. Thank you so much
