This is based off a prompt from The Constant Poet, Michelle Awad. I square up to a part of life that’s been long neglected.

In honor of Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day, tomorrow. This piece marks how far I’ve come along In my life.

This poem goes back to the night of March 22nd, 2020. The conversation had sparked the Poetic Journey that I’m currently on right now.

I attempt to bring my experience in a flotation tank to life. An hour’s worth of stillness but in verse.

An ode to sparkling wine in verse. As bubbly and its equivalents pair well with my celebratory pulse.

With the 366th day on the calendar coming, it felt right to pay homage to the occasion. And remind myself, every day on the calendar is special.

This poem came together on Tuesday morning. I was asked the question in a direct message on Instagram by a friend. I tried to answer the question.

I attempt to describe the things that i like about myself. It was harder to do than it looks.
