Hey, new Channel Sports, welcome to Swell. Would love to hear your thoughts on the Cam Newton move to the Patriots. It kind of blows my mind. I still find it very hard to visualize that I've always had a very kind of complicated relationship with New England sports teams. I love the Patriots. I hate the Sell Techs and kind of mad about the Red Sox. But with really gone from the Patriots, I'm reevaluating that
I love the NBA and the NFL can't wait for the NBA to restart Art when they're in their bubble in Florida. And I can't wait for the NFL to get started as well, no matter what they do, whether they do it with or without fans, I really can't wait. But those are my two sports of choice
I think it's good for Cam Newton to kind of revitalize his career under Bill Belichick. If he can go there and just learn a thing or two from Bill Belt, I think that Hill be good for his career, and it'll make his career longer. It Hill extend his career if he can go there and have a good showing
What do you think about the Washington Red Skins, potentially changing the name of their team

And it seems like there's a huge swell for him to change this. I've just found it really interesting to see people starting to reserve domain names and the prices are getting pretty high. I think Washington Warriors I think it's about at $1 million right now, which seems that it would be the favorite, but that seems awfully awfully high
That's very, very interesting to Phil. It's amazing how people out there are three steps ahead of us. And they're already out there buying domain names, trying to guess what the new nickname for Washington is going to be. But the Washington Warriors does kind of have a ring to it, and it would closely be like what it was before, in some form or fashion, but a million dollars for a domain name man. That's ridiculous. That's crazy

He would refer to that football team in Washington
Welcome to Swell Gift. I was with you until you said you were Dallas Cowboy fan. I'm a Houston Texans fan myself. When I do the podcast, my co hosts are Cowboy fans, so I have to deal with them so I can only imagine how you are. But yeah, you make a lot of good points there. And welcome to Swell. I just have fond memories of the Washington Generals, and I would love to see them pick up that moniker. I don't think they're going to do that, but that's one name that I just kind of laugh at anyway. On a separate note, I'm a boxing judge. I'm a licensed boxing judge, and I haven't done a lot of famous fights. I've done a lot of lower tier fights
Hey, Phil, I do remember watching some Harlem Globetrotter games against the Generals. That would be funny as all h***, if they decide to name them the Generals. I don't think they're going to do that, but that would definitely be funny. I've never actually been to a boxing match myself. I think that's something that's on my bucket list. I would like to be front row at a big fight someday

He wanted a lifetime four seats, 50 yard line seats to the Stadium number one, and he wanted to call one third down play during a regular game. I can't remember the name of the team. I can't remember any of the other circumstances, but as far as the story goes, they gave him his four seats and they gained gave him the right to call one game or one play during a game
Yeah, Phil, I'll definitely take you up on an offer. I live down here in Houston. I'm a fan of the Texans, the Rockets, casual Astros fan, but anything Houston I'm down for. But if you are down on here in Texas, I'll definitely watch a boxing match ringside. I'm a fan of Mike Pakiao, Mike Tyson back in the day, but, yeah, I'll definitely do a boxing match ringside

But right now, I'm really interested in seeing the finish of this basketball season because I think with no fans in the stands, it's going to be tougher than ever to win a Championship, because what happens when a team gets down 1520 points and you don't have that crowd to motivate you or move you on? Are you going to be able to find the motivation? And none of these players have ever played like this in these type of conditions

When you're talking about Floyd Mayweather and Bruce Lee, I know Floyd Mayweather has some punching power, but it's not to the extent of Mike Tyson and Vander Holyfield and the heavyweights. So I think that I can match up a little bit better with Floyd Mayweather in that aspect as opposed to other fighters as well. I do not want to go head to head with Bruce Lee. I don't want to do that

The Met Mile is today, and it's one of my favorite races of the year, and it's not one of the big three

I just turned on ESPN Sports, and it's the Nathan's Hot Dog Championships, featuring the women. It looks like most of the women contestants are under 110% pounds, soaking wet. Can't believe that ESPN Sports is featuring Nathan's Hot Dogs. Boy, do I miss the old days

And I remember watching the whole thing, and it was just a brutal game to watch. It was brutally hot. And just watching a nohitter against your team was just never any fun to watch. And you're just so every battery you're just hoping for one hit, just get a hit. Just so we don't have to watch this anymore. And I don't have to watch Yankees fans celebrate here. And I ended up watching this again a little bit

He actually picked up a ring with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 88, and Ironically, he only pitched two innings before having an injury in his shoulder and really didn't pitch much other than that. I think that was all they pitched in that series. So even though he got a ring, he really didn't play much in that series. So I just wanted to clarify that John Tudor was two time World Series player with the Cardinals, but he didn't actually want a World Series title with them

You might be interested in the idea this is from a soccer fan of a referee commentator. I'll plug a link to his I the particular thing that he was talking about, but he was referencing how there isn't a lot of people will interview players, but they don't interview referees. And some of the quotes what calls they make. And I thought based on what he said, that there may be an opportunity for someone to become professional sports referee commentator. So I'll put the link

How many sports are we talking about? Because I've got a list of them. But seriously, yeah, the two sports that have followed the most are football, soccer. I'm a big Liberal fan. And yes, I love the Boston Celtics. And I just watched the game a couple of hours ago and a few hours ago, right after my shift and they lost a box. But there you go.
