The Burgeoning

article image placeholderUploaded by @nourishyou
She knows not the shy birthed drop seeping through crag of her burgeoning, just aware made aqueous of cold, hard rock, soft and different, that her strength is slowly gathered. Quiet currents form wild seas. So I think that this is my first attempt at a sijo classical Korean form of poetry that I happened upon today by chance through this app by Jacqueline. And I have to say, I think it's a bit of a revelation. I absolutely love this form

A Sijo form (Korean) and revelation!

So I thought this was really beautiful at Anique and now I'm really curious about this form also and I'm going to have to go do some more research on it. You always amaze me with what you bring to the table

There was this serene calm to it that I really appreciated, but I'd really love to hear more about what it really is all about, because I've never heard of this type of poetry before. So hopefully you can come back on and kind of explain a little bit more about that. But it was really beautiful. And as always, I appreciate you. You have the most amazing, amazing contributions to Swell. So thank you for being here again

And I think you actually are are following the form, like the intention of the form, which I think is supposed to be pastoral or related more to nature and the word choices you've used, they're lovely and it's absolutely gorgeous work. So I'm so excited that we can commiserate, I guess, on our love of seed Joe. So I appreciate it and I'm so glad that it is on here and I hope it works out for more of your incredible word choice. Incredible work

I was a bit bamboozled at first, but there are some good resources online to help you understand the phrasing and the syllable count. And it is just a beautiful, beautiful form. And I'm totally gushing over it. I'm really glad I found it. I'm grateful that you've reeswelled Jacqueline's post. I should have done that, really, because actually hers were much better and really beautiful, but

You. Thank you, my love. I can take no credit for this. This was just a moment of inspiration that came from Jacqueline and from a conversation. And I'm off work this week, so I have time to muse more. And I totally got into a rabbit hole over this form. Definitely check it out. I it's it's just beautiful

You, Jacqueline. I'm still gushing over your pieces and you managed to write three of them. They are absolutely exquisite. Really? I'm glad they've been reswelled. I should have done that in hindsight, because more people need to know about this form. Everybody knows about Haiku, but I think these are more versatile and your work was beautiful. And I think, like me, if you have a leaning to form somehow, it kind of can unlock something
