ADVICE NEEDED: Help me figure out where to study abroad!

article image placeholderUploaded by @Noalily
I'm not really sure if I want to do something that is more within my niche and my major, or if I want to do a more like general program so that I'm, with other student life aren't within my major. So I'm a little bit all over the place. But I would really love to hear if you have any recommendations, any advice about study abroad? I go to UC Berkeley

I’m open to any and every suggestion!!

I like to view travel abroad as really an opportunity for you to go somewhere that you've absolutely never been and likely will never go. So that would be my advice to you. You're going to have a blast either way, whether you stay at UC Berkeley or whether you go abroad, either way, guaranteed fund to be happy anyways, I hope that helps. Let me know what you end up deciding on

So I really appreciated Taylor's advice, but something I would add on, not from experience, obviously, because still figuring this out, we're in the same boat here, but I know something to take into consideration is the living situation, because I know at some city broad locations you can only live with a host family, whereas other times you can live in one of the dorms on wherever University you're studying at or like you rent an apartment

Don’t forget about the food!

And another thing I just want to chat on for anybody listening to this also, sorry, I'm really still out of breathing up the call. But if you have some kind of dietary restrictions or you're like a really good eater and you don't plan on changing that and being spontaneous with food, find a place that, you know will have food that you can eat because I know, like for me, I don't eat meat. And I do not plan on eating meat probably ever done

And I honestly think study abroad as the major, like you're taking, because I think study abroad is literally about immersing yourself as much as you can into another culture and isn't about trying to do it within your class requirements. And like, if you have to take summer classes after graduation, whatever. I think really studying abroad should just be about really learning about a new culture. Sure. And immersing yourself there. So yeah. Good luck
