Clothing doesn't have a gender

article image placeholderUploaded by @NLOFrank
Hello, beautiful humans. Happy Monday. I hope you're all having a good day and that you've had a fantastic weekend. I want to start with the week talking about something that really baffles me. Really. And please do your joining this conversation. What I'm speaking of is why we have gendered clothing. I follow quite a lot of people actually on Instagram who posts photographs and comments about the fact that they wear clothing that's outside of the gender norm

Why is this still a thing for people, excellent question! @NLOFrank

And I have a lot of Oxfords and slim pants can't do skinny anymore, because a little bit more weight than I used to have when I was younger. And I'm just comfortable for me. I feel like it's just a smart, neat look, but it can masculine presenting, but also too. It's so interesting, because now in the world, men wear not even necessarily men who identify on the spectrum

And then I was like, a tie isn't inappropriate for work. All of my male colleagues are wearing ties at work. I'm not showing anything offensive in terms of, like, I don't have offensive tattoos. It's not like I'm showing off loads of flesh. I just want to wear a tie. So I bought a tie, which I like geeky stuff. So I bought it's a blue tie with the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars, and I absolutely loved it

Hey, Tasha, real Brickster. This is a great conversation, one that I've actually been thinking about lately because I recently went on vacation and I needed to pick up some beachwear, let's say, for the first room for my trip. And it was interesting to go shopping with my fiance for similar items, swimsuits sandals, things of that nature Frank tops and see the variety of options, but also the differences in prices and how that varied from garment to garment

Whenever a CIS man wear women's clothing, he's got stuff like bad stuff, which I can't even tell here. But this is so sad. But I'm happy that we're progressing more. But you guys wear whatever you want, whatever makes you happy because you have one life, so use that to express yourself and inspire other people. But I know some people get mistreated just because they wear stuff, which is, quote, unquote made for the other gender. And that's sad

So I will often buy men's wear especially like bottoms like trousers, shorts because they're just so much more comfortable. They don't bride up in places and you can get them to be nice and baggy and great for lounging around. So I definitely think that we have a long way to go in regards to not labeling or judging or gendering people based on what materials they're wearing and what style of material is wearing on their bodies
