What causes hail?

And it also mentioned how hail is common during early summer, when surface temperatures are enough warm enough to promote stability associated with strong thunderstorms. We had a thunderstorm last night, so I'll attach the article for more information. But I thought that was interesting stuff, too

Yeah, it was hailing last night. It's really cool. How the Hill freezes when it's high up in the air. And then as it's going down, the temperature increases, so the smaller pieces start to to melt. I thought those. It's pretty interesting how it works
