What is the big red spot on Jupiter?

article image placeholderWhy Does Jupiter Have the Great Red Spot? - Planets for Kids
And it also mentioned how even though the Great red spot is large now, it actually is slowly shrinking in size. And the size of the Great red spot is half as wide as it was 100 years ago. And astronomers believe it will be round, circular shape by 2040. So Jupiter's atmosphere is made up of hot gasses that are constantly moving. So these gasses are rising and falling and swirling throughout the atmosphere

I think it's really cool on the article that you linked. And I also found it really fascinating, like how everything is relative because you said that the storm is two or three times bigger, bigger than Earth, because I guess on Jupiter itself is much larger than Earth. And then the storms, too, are relatively bigger in size and how everything is formed and why it's formed altogether is a really interesting topic to know about. And those are some great points that you share
