Social Misery: a digital tale

article image placeholderUploaded by @NickGweezy
So now we have social media, a way to talk to your friends even when you're at work. So even when you're not happy, you still have an open line of communication. Even when you're miserable at work, you have an outlet. Why does social media suck? Why is it social misery? Well, it's because you're arguing with somebody else and you're both at work and you don't want to be there

Hey Nick, you're not wrong and just want to share my experience of avoiding the misery. It is possible to change how you use these apps. I'm old enough to remember a time before they were around. I didn't join MySpace, I was in my thirty s. The thing I noticed among my network in 2016 people started posting their anxieties online. So being on Facebook or Twitter, it wasn't arguing with strangers, it was watching people have a collective freak out and breakdown and panic attack

So I think that you being a voice just make that blunt and clear is super helpful. And I hope a lot of people find this and that it starts trending in here because this is a slightly different platform. There are no ads, as you mentioned, and I don't know, I think it's a little bit more authentic. Continuing the people who are on here care to hear, for instance, I go and I find the new voices here and that's where I stumbled upon yours
