Horror Anthologies: What’s your favorite anthology and why?

article image placeholderPoster art
In the last segment with the old man with the cockroaches and his condominium freaked me out. Cockroaches just really freaked me out. But Creep Show is amazing. The replay value on it is fantastic. I could throw it in over and over and never get sick of it. And I remember watching it and being just enthralled with it as a kid. And then I went out and bought the comic book because they came out with a Creep Show comic book after the movie

Talking horror anthologies, what is your favorite one and what was it that you loved about it?

Hey Neil, this is a really great question. There are so many awesome horror anthologies out there, and I think you probably listed the best one. Creep Show just had some really special moments in there. I think that it personally, while I do really enjoy Creep Show, I think that my favorite is Trick or Treat. I know it's definitely a little bit more recent, but it was just from start to finish such a wild ride

Cats eye

And to this day, if there's a thunderstorm out, I will not look in the closet for fear of seeing a wet pair of boots standing there. And then the other story, which I think might have been the first one was, I think a guy catches a man that's sleeping with his wife or something like that. And he makes him do a lap around the penthouse of a tall building on the ledge. And that one was pretty good

I haven't watched it since last Halloween, so yeah, I watch that every Halloween. It's a kind of ritual of mine. But yeah, Trick Or Treat is fantastic. And I I think everybody loves Creep show. It's a good one. Thanks for the input

Yeah. Phil. Cats Eye is up there for me as well. Actually, that's based off of Stephen King's novel, his first one, and the name Escapes me. Night Shift. That's the name of it. I believe it's his first anthology short story book, Night Shift. Those stories are taken from there. And the first story is The Ledge. It's called The Ledge. And that one was really intense

Post Et finds a little Goblin in her room, and she's kind of battling the Goblin, and the cat is actually helping her fight the Goblin. So that was the thing. The third story in Cats Eye, which was not my favorite. I think that was my least favorite one out of the anthology
