Completely crushing Harsh Reality of Life Gary learned this lesson and I always said they should shut this film to every boy in high school. It's one of the most jaw dropping, heart crushing endings in film history

I don't know. Maybe that's just me, but that's how I feel, but yeah, great movie. Great movie. Great story. Very sad story, but very much especially with the abortion and everything. It starts out as not a kiddie, but like a typical teen movie and then takes a sharp turn into, like, massive reality for that age. Just a great story altogether. And definitely should be on everyone's checklist

And you're right. It did get overshadowed by Fast Times Original High, which is similar content to Last American Virgin. But I think it really got overshadowed by the fun films of John Hughes because it works out in Last American Virgin. It doesn't work out. And sometimes in life it doesn't work out. So it shows that. And I think that's what makes it a brilliant, unique teen film
