Curve that Grade!

Unless the test is really so straightforward, that objectively everyone can tell that you just have to do, like, a little bit of the basic content to do well. I think for tests that are really involved as the midterm that I had where you have multiple parts, each problem, you're really integrating differences of knowledge at once under a time constraint. I do think that for such tests occur should be necessary for things that are just like, fill in the blank

And there's a difference between being a little hard on your students and like pushing them to do well and to really challenge them and then making things impossible. And I think that's something that really needs to be fixed and looked at. But I personally, I just don't really understand curved grading scales. I've done fine without them, and I'm kind of happy to keep it that way. So that is my little opinion here

very interesting

I think if you're in a position where you're like, okay, this is the only class that was available to me in this particular context. I need it for my degree. I'm perhaps maybe in a situation at home or something outside of school that hinders my ability to learn. Well, if that makes sense and all those factors considered, I think then it's important to understand how a curve is a very useful tool

@Noalily

I'm not sure but yes, usually what I've seen with the technical classes for biology, chemistry and physics, at least the Physics series. Most people don't score variable high. It's not very common to see, but we would consider like a C grade on like a fixed scale
