But honestly, we can't be loving and compassionate if we haven't removed the underlining things that are wrong. Those are the things we must give to God so he can change. Until we do, we will always be an ongoing cycle of old selves of our own. Selves because our old selves because surrender to God because we won't surrender to God, but we must surrender to Him.
