It's been five years since we lost the incredible artist Prince, and he's a musical artist that deeply impacted my life without going into the whole story. Essentially, my parents say I was born because of Branch, so I've always thought of him as someone I owe my life to and has deeply respected his work as an artist and also as an activist and performer. And I thought it would be nice to share our favorite Prince songs

I also want to share an article that you might be interested in reading if you're a Prince fan and it talks about his relationship with Minneapolis and also, obviously what's going on there today. The city being in turmoil, oil and all the work that Prince did for showing up for Black lives and creating more spaces of healing and making his voice known about the violence that his community was seeing in his city and also in other cities. This piece is definitely worth reading

And I just think that's the coolest thing in the world, making your music accessible to the fans. He did it so many nights that I feel like I met literally hundreds of people in the city that had seen Prince at some point during that month. And I think that that just speaks to what a tremendous creator he is and how innovative he is as a person and as a musician

Taylor, I could not agree with you more. I actually had the opportunity to attend five of the nights at the forum. The tickets were $25. I think we one night we just went up to the box office and bought tickets for $50 each, and we ended up sitting on the floor, which was amazing. And seeing Prince riding his bike around the forum afterwards was also very awesome. Yes
