G.O.A.T.

Okay, this is for all of the true boxing fans out there, who do you think is the greatest pound for pound boxer in history? Now, my personal opinion would be Sam Langford. He fought during the turn of the 20th century at the time of Jack Johnson, Sam McVeigh and Joe Jeanette, Stanley Ketchell. And the reason why I give Sam the overall ranking of best pound boxer is because he scored. I believe it's the third highest knockouts among any fighter in history

Henry Armstrong. Active p4p: Lomachenko

I wanted to say Marvin Hagler, actually, because that was my guy growing up, but I don't think I can put him at the top, but he's at the top of my he's my favorite now, today, if I had to pick somebody active boxer that is pound for pound, the best. I'd have to go the seal. Lima Cenko I think he's just unbelievable fighter. He's got power. He's got great handspeed, foot speed, great balance

Well, Phil, you brought up a great point and a great fighter. Henry Armstrong is a is a great choice. Homicide, Hank, that was Joe Fraser's major influence when he was fighting George. For me, he said he wanted to approach it like he was Henry Armstrong. And he felt like if he could just go 1200 punches around, he'll put the pressure on George and it would break George. But we see that didn't work. But no, Sam Langford was a lightweight

Serious punching power

Well, I had to look it up and I apologize. You are absolutely correct. Sam did start off as a lightweight, which I just I really can't get my mind around that. I've seen guys go from 135 to 140 in the punching power does not transfer just with those £5. And to think this guy did it from lightweight to heavyweight, it's really tough to believe. I mean, it's unreal. It's absolutely unreal

Hey, Phil, remember too. That back in those days, anything. There was no cruiserweight division back then, it was pretty much just eight divisions. Any person that was above £175 back then was considered a heavyweight. And I believe when they fought the first time, I don't even think Sam was 170
