Roaches

And so I pulled the cover back, and it was a roach. Of course I slapped the roaches out the bed, and I kind of freaked out a little bit. But this got me to thinking. Why do we hate roaches? I know it seems like a silly question because we all universally don't like roaches, but I never stopped to think exactly why I don't like roaches. I know why I don't like flies, okay? I understand how flies work, what they do

Some people will never come to a place again, they will leave. So this is why I think it's the real fear. So no, they're not poisonous, but if infested an environment you can be evicted from a place, if it's too bad, it will tear a building down if it's too much roaches. So it's a lot different than just like regular bugs who are natural of the earth and they're going to be around regardless

Okay, all of that. What you said. The one I agree with a hundred percent. But we still haven't answered the question. Why? Why is it like that? Why why is it people have have this aversion to roaches when they're not poisonous, they don't bite, and you say they're the manifestation of dirt. I mean, I can agree with that. I understand because I'm like everybody else

Yeah, yeah. Roaches on their own aren't poisonous. They can carry disease, potentially, but I think it's more psychologically. The Danger apartments, if they have too much of them, can risk having to shut down. A lot of the old projects back in the day, cabrini Green, for example, in Chicago, were rampant and rife with roach infestation. So it is a sign more of deep poverty in America than anything else

Maybe there are some that are closer to universal than others because we don't want to be what's the word? Infected. Interestingly enough, they're doing some research these days on the ideas of discussed and like this whole aspect of disgusting humans and why we find certain things discussing. But also they're pushing it into the realm of does disgust play a role in our morals? Like the same ideas of not wanting to be person. That word is infected. Brain fried over here anyway

Yeah, man, I'm not a fan of roaches. I think they're creepy looking, not as bad as mice's, but they're not nice to look at. And yeah, plus they're trying to eat up all your food. But you know what I think it really is? It's a bunch of other things, but they are a bit of a mystery
