But I am an attractive auntie, too, so don't get it twisted. But, yeah, just being the age I am is fine for me. I just was looking at these gray hairs. I do be coloring them, but I realized my hairstyle was he probably could have gave me another rinse if this last hairstyle but that's okay. They're there. I earned them. But yeah, those backhanded compliments people are a whole trip when it comes to that. US

Because if a person looks old for their age or looks good to be older, then the same would have to be in reverse. A kid looks good for their age, right? That sounds inappropriate, right? But it's following the same logic. If people are looking at age and defining that as a place marker for where beauty stops, then where does it begin? Yeah, that's interesting. I've gotten that myself, actually. I have some grays

And she has to be a certain age from cosmetic surgeries and cosmetics and whatnot from that industry. Right? And it does carry a level of pressure for women because they tend to feel that how will they fit in, how will they survive and how will they get better jobs and they will get obsolete very soon. They will not be welcomed, they will be sidelined very quickly just because they have started to look a certain way

I just think that people look bad for their age. Don't think I look young for my age. I think that people look old for their age. And that's the topic for another discussion on why people look bad and look old. Just simply not taking care of themselves, at the very least. Just one of many reasons why. And so women really fear getting older. They don't mike seeing the little lines form in their face and they don't like seeing the gray hairs and they don't like seeing any of those things. Because the world makes us believe that once we start seeing that, then it's pretty much over for us. And unfortunately, that thought process has crept into the church as well. So now you have Christians that are getting plastic surgery

And usually when I see people who look older than they are, that's usually the case. They've had just a really difficult life. They've had a hard life. They've gone through some things and seen some things that most people never get to see or experience. And so it kind of ages them. Also, if they have a lifestyle where they are drinking alcohol or using drugs or smoking, that can also age their appearance as well. Improper diet can age your appearance

It's just words and it doesn't mean anything unless you're already thinking it. You already take it on to be that or you make yourself trapped within the meaning of the words. Yes, I do get that there's ageism in our culture and yes, there are even like one person shared that there are even jobs designed so that you of a certain age can't have it or shouldn't be identified as qualified for it because your age is dictating something to the person or to the job
