Abstinence vs. Celibacy

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
You plan to have sex again. It's just that you're not having sex right now. And both of these practices are healthy for people because sex can cloud judgment in a lot of instances. We are unable to make proper decisions. We're unable to make logical decisions when our emotions are clouded by sex. And this happens a lot with women where we get into relationships with men because sex and intimacy is an emotional act for us

These terms are not synonymous! #sex #single #marriage

And again, the range of answers to these questions will vary and will be probably a lot from person to person, different from person to person. And so for me, it's important to have a biblical perspective. And that means there's a call for marriage. There's a call, I believe, for celibacy

And I believe that there are certain people that God has given the gift of singleness to where they just know how to navigate this world without having a companion, without having a spouse. She's always been happy that way. She's still happy that way. I've never heard her once mention anything about going on a date or wanting to date

I think at the end of the day when you think about the love of language and how language is used and our intention with using language, sometimes I have the thought that I wonder if we're not as intentional as we could be with our word choice and even knowledge base of the origin or the true meaning of the word. I know I've heard people use words and phrases
