Can Your Spouse hang out with Opposite Sex Single friends?

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
You. Hello, family. I hope you are enjoying this wonderful Thursday. I wanted to come on here because I was reading Twitter and I saw a single woman make a post about how her married friends should be okay with her spending time with their spouses. And I found this to be interesting because as a single woman myself, I can't say I've ever desired to have the opportunity to hang out with my male married friends. Not without their spouses anyway

Now, if a decision they make leads to an action that they've made that does not align with my boundaries that I've set for myself, then I accept them for who they are. And then I make the decision of do I want to still be involved with them or not?

You now have someone else more special in your life that you have to focus on and they're just kind of left out there. I've been that single friend that has had friends get married. And so now it's not that I can't hang out with my friend at all. It's just that what we do and how we do things might just look a little bit different. And then the amount of time that we are able to spend together is going to decrease

Okay. So I think, like with a significant other, if I'm with someone and I know that there are certain friends, male friends or what have you, that make them feel uncomfortable, it's not so much about putting restrictions and do's and don'ts and this is who you can hang with, and this is who you need to stay away from type of thing

As for this particular swell, I think that every relationship is different. Some relationships allow things that other relationships don't allow. When it coles to having friends of a different gender, I guess it depends. For me, I wouldn't have a problem. Matter of fact, let me take that back. I will have a problem, but if that's what makes her happy, then I'm okay with it, just as long as you respect Moe the way you want me to respect you
