Can Introverts Be Good Leaders? 🤔

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
They can understand when we run into circumstances. That might affect our productivity and be willing to help us in any way they can to get back on track. So can introverts Be great leaders? They certainly can, and I think that we should take that into consideration. Thank you for listening

And so, yes, people can be inspired by having a vocal leader, but they can also be inspired by having a leader of action. And so I think that both are very important and very necessary qualities to have. So thank you so much for your response

And he said as he got to know the guy, he found out that the guy himself was an introvert. I don't know if he used that word, but the guy was like the top executive of some company or something like that. But he was known for being a great leader. So yes, most introverts are quiet and shy. Those are the typical attributes that we could see. But I think that we would make great leaders

And yes, I agree that they are bit less confident, they're a bit shy, and a lack of confidence can affect that thing. But practice makes a man perfect, right? So if they can practice and to develop their confidence level, yeah, they can be a good leader, for sure. Thank you

Yeah, I think I would rather have an introvert as a leader than an extrovert, because I think they'd be a great leader. I think they'd be an awesome leader. Thank you for this topic

You ask if somebody introverted should be in a leadership position? I don't think that should matter. You said antisocial. Antisocial is a big word and it's a big label. But being introverted shouldn't bother anybody because they just mind their own business and stick to themselves. They may not want to go out there and be social because they don't want to deal with all the drama that comes with it

Whether you're extrovert or introvert, you're a good person, bad person, it doesn't matter which group you fit into. I think what we have to look at is what makes a good leader

Some people may like the extrovert, the person that's really rallying the team, the one that's out front, the one that when you walk into the office, you know who the manager is. And then some people might prefer the introvert, the one that's more compassionate, the one that's more reflective

And that's inspiring to know that if I really need some support, that my manager or my supervisor or my director is working alongside with me to help provide that support versus just telling me this needs to be done by a certain time and et cetera, et cetera

And so yes, I do believe it matters. Does it matter at the end of the day? Well, I don't know. That remains to be seen. But yes, depending on the individual, it could certainly make a difference in how they perform depending on the type of leader that they have in front of them. So thank you so much

Let me see what I can find out, and then I'll get back to you. At the same time, she does have an open door policy as far as being able to sit down and have conversations with her, but she is more to herself as far as her leadership style. She's not the one that's out front. She does meetings because she has to do meetings. She leads meetings because she has to. The meetings are short and sweet

Hey, Nina, thank you so much for chiming in. I agree there could be positive and negative traits in both personality types. Yes, I agree with you 100%. There could be positive and negative traits in both. And just because someone is an introvert does not necessarily mean they will be easier to get along with. It doesn't necessarily mean that they're going to be, you know, a better leader
