Hi Murdu, that's a major problem all over India. When a place looks beautiful, people start littering and when the places of historical significance, people will start to analyze it. Hence, there should be severe punishment for this. Then only they will stop

So I don't think it was the tourists who littered in that specific place. I really think it is the local people. So even if the local people don't take the responsibility of not littering, definitely the tourists will follow what they're doing mean
