Fun, Fun, Fun "The Mummy" (1999)

I think ultimately, at the end of the day, you compare those two movies, and one movie is trying to be real serious and play it super straight. And I'm okay with that to a degree for horror movies or supernatural actioners or whatever the case. I think that's one of the biggest issues with the 2017 remake is, like, I don't know if they knew where they were going

And again, he knew what he was doing there. It's not like you're going to see GI. Joe Rise of Cobra and are expecting to be moved by what you watch, you know what I mean? And then his last directorial outing that I really enjoyed was in 2013, and it was Odd Times Thomas featuring the late Antoniochin before his passing. Another really weird movie, but one that was super self aware. So I did that from a director. Appreciate your review

Hey there. Thanks so much for chiming in again. I absolutely agree. Stephen Sommers is one of those directors. And I and I don't mean this as a as a diss. I actually mean this is somewhat of compliment to him. He's kind of A list or B movie director, I guess is Theo best way to put it. A list b movie director. The man makes popcorn flicks, and I don't think he's shy about it
