Netflix tests cracking down on password sharing. Thoughts?

article image placeholderWhy Netflix
And while I understand this is a healthy and fair business decision by Netflix, with people now having numerous options like Apple TV, Disney Plus and HBO Max to choose from. And with Disney Plus actually passing 100 million subscribers within just 16 months of its launch, I'm sure that a bit of eroding of Netflix's global demand has happened, which probably prompted such a move from their end

Oh Mom needs to be ok!

But I share my Netflix with quite a few people. I've given them my account and I give them a profile. So I wonder if you have a profile if it would still work. But to your larger question about the reason why I think you're spot on people are clamping down on all streaming options because they want to make sure they keep their business going and they're tight with their registration so that they can be competitive because Netflix has such content in the pipeline

So I actually know several people who have canceled their Netflix subscription. With all these other services coming around. They feel that there's just not enough interesting things on Netflix, and they feel that there's like a massive influx of foreign material that's dubbed with an English audio track. And this is a turn off for a lot of people. It's hard enough, I guess, to get people to read subtitles. So they figured they would make these audio English language tracks

People will always find a way

And so during one of the press conferences in the build up, he basically made this like he tried to puff his chest out and say, like, I'm going to crack down and I know who you are and I'm coming to your home. And what that did ultimately was just make people on the internet laugh at him. And really the pay per view from that night was just, like, readily available everywhere you looked

They've been doing quite well, and Netflix's numbers have not been great last year, mostly on account of competition from these other platforms. And while the Mandalorian was globally the most popular single series, Netflix in a heartening development, did dominate the second spot across global markets, with their targeted series catering to specific global markets. So I think that's their strength

Cracking down on password sharing arrow? No, I was just making sure. Yeah. So you did. You need your own account to keep watching duh, dude. Yeah. I mean, I used my sister's accounting it in front of everybody. I'm going to start with you now that you've admitted it. So they've been talking about this for a while, but people were questioning. All right. How serious are you actually? What are you really going to do?
