So last month, having heard all of these concerns about TikTok and being somebody with siblings who are much younger than myself as well, I have a brother who is twelve, I decided to do an experiment where I made a fresh Tik tok account and using just the For You page. So just the recommendations, seeing how quickly the app would take me to a consistently far right antisemitic conspiratorial stream of content. And I have to say that I was not optimistic about the situation on the app
And it's a really sad state of affairs. I see myself reflecting on this a lot because I do myself kind of straddle this line between science and spirituality, being a yoga teacher, but also recognizing that evidence and the scientific method is incredibly important. It's, I would say, one of the most important human endeavors that we have. Otherwise, how can we have any semblance of reality without science? Yeah, thank you for bringing this up.
