Weekly Word: Hallelujah

article image placeholderUploaded by @AndrewMichaels
And to this day, obviously, the psalms play a part of morning festival and Shabbat prayers in Judaism, meaning that Hallelujah is something that you are going to hear quite a bit along with in Christian prayer. However, it might not have originally been a word that would have been said in the prayer at all. A lot of people actually think that when you see hallelujah in one of those old psalms, it's either some sort of an audience call and response or a musical notation

#word of the #week is one you might know from #Jewish or #Christian #prayer. Or #leonardcohen

Thank you for this. I'm curious if you can elaborate on meaning. I've definitely heard the word in all of these different contexts, but I'm wondering if there was a different meaning implied in each, or if it's the same meaning in each and what that meaning might be. Because in different circles, I've heard different interpretations. And so I'm curious what you might know or what you might think
