HAPPY OPENING DAY! What are your thoughts on the upcoming baseball season?

Hey, everyone, I hope you're having a great day so far. Today is the day that baseball is finally back. It is opening day 2020. There's two games lined up for today. It's going to be the Yankees at the Nationals and the Giants at the the Dodgers. So it's going to be pretty exciting to see where this season goes. It's going to be a great day for baseball

Let’s go Dodgers!

And yes, the fan cut out thing. I also heard I don't know if that's going to make a whole lot of a difference. And honestly, I feel like people watching from home might just think it's silly, but hey, we'll find out. I'm just looking forward to seeing a baseball game again

Three batter minimum rule!

I will say without a doubt, my favorite rule change for this year is that when a relief pitcher comes in, he has to face a minimum of three batters. I absolutely love this change. I think that will help that will help move the game along a little bit quicker and end the one batter specialty pitcher. And I blame Tony LaRussa for that. By the way, I think he started that all. And it just makes the game longer

So we already know what happened with Astros, but I don't really want to get that much into it, but they cheated their way through the World Series. Some people have their opinions on it. Me. As a Dodger fan, they're cheaters to me, but I'm excited to see them play the Dodgers again. And Phil, Yes, I love this new rule. It's going to keep the game moving. I hate when I used to go to a game

Fast pitch!

Molly, you had mentioned that you coached softball. And up until two years ago, I coached my daughter's youth team, and I always made the remark that that's probably the reason that I stopped watching a lot of baseball. I just found it so boring after or watching multiple games of softball. Or I should say fast pitch, because that's what it is, fast pitch. But that game is just so much more exciting to me. You have to be quicker

Fastpitch > Baseball

So those games were high intensity, quick that you have to have almost no marginal error in like you said at my College, I used to also live stream the baseball games when I wasn't working at a softball game, and when I would record those games, I would just feel my eyes just starting to close because the game is so boring and so long that I was just tired and there was just no energy to keep me engaged in the game

I’ll be locked in the whole game tonight though!

But don't get me wrong. I love going to baseball games in person. I just love the overall environment of a Major League Baseball game, but if I was at home the majority of the time, the game is just background noise while I get other things done. And then if I get those things done, then I get to enjoy the rest of the game. But I know how long they can take, so sometimes I don't like to sit at home for that long

Wow. So the announcers were saying some, I guess not so kind things about Stanton. And he goes ahead and hits absolute beauty of a home run. Wow

So we were talking about the added crowd noise and the fans for the game before they happened today. And I'm just curious to see what you all thought about the game games first and foremost. But also, what did you think of the fan experience from home? Did it feel like you were watching a regular baseball game

It actually did sound like it was a legit game that would usually take place, so it made me want to be back at the Stadium even more. But I did notice when the Dodgers, or, like the MLB account, posted a video of the home runs. You can tell how quiet it is in those videos. It's just the crack of the bat. And then that's pretty much it

My Dodgers Recap

And that's when the game pretty much busted open. The Dodgers ended up scoring five runs that inning. Then Kiki Hernandez put the icing on the cake and hit a two run bomb. I believe in the following inning and that put the Dodgers up eight to one. My guy Kik was on fire tonight. He had four hits, four for five, that is, and he had five RBIs, one run scored
