A Chat With Sreeja Sallagundla who is an author and Miss India Earth Finalist
So let us begin this webcast and let us start with your introduction and why you you have written a very unusual book. A pageant talk. How to man master. Pageant talk. It's not a topic everybody would like to take up even for a self help book. What motivated you to write such a book? To help the future pageant aspirations. Then thank you
Because in India, most of the patient contestants, most of the girls like me, who are in the villages, doesn't have access to great communication resources. And this is the biggest hurdle. And this is what motivated me to write this book, is to help the patient
And even today, there are enough and more folks who ask me you are having a handsome corporate job, why the h*** you leave it and what are you doing now? I cannot explain it to them why I am doing all the sportcasting book reviews or anything that I love to do. But yes, it's a hard path. I completely agree it's a hard path. It has not been. I have walked on this path for five years now
And when I was standing on that stage, I really felt that and I thank the God that all my efforts are really paid off. Being Miss India Earth finalist is we have to prepare for a lot of the aspects to be in that place. Like from coming from the personality to communication, it's like an overall personality development where we develop each and every aspect of it. And I am selected as an eco warrior there, where we do the project on the environment especially
It's not just the pageant. Everything in life has a journey associated with it, which is not just roses, but tarns also. That's where many people back out and the ones who move forward taste success. So very happy to hear about your journey. Now, coming to our next question, it's actually an interesting question. Okay. You are a mechanical engineer, a stream which girls rarely take
And as I said, that along with the differences, there are similarities too. And one big similarity which I have experienced and is that creating an impact in my field. As I told you that I am the only first girl to get into that MNC firm as a Mechanical engineering manager and where I have created an opportunity for many girls to enter into the field
And it's a very good thing. Like somebody has to take the first step in our society for girls to move forward. It is still not an easy journey for a woman in India. As we always say, a girl is not seen as a human first thing. She is treated as goddess and that is the biggest golden chain in her leg, I always tell. Second is she's not treated an individual with aspirations

And the second tip I would love to give to you is something which may be suited for other contestants may not be suiting to you. What I mean to say is there will be some costumes. For example, if you know your styling strategy before itself, you might be having the round face
Take this as an opportunity to influence people and inspire them with your words. The fifth tip and the most important tip for every patient aspirant over there is don't waste your time on unnecessary research or unnecessary things which was not even connected to the patient. Being a patient, aspirant coach and judge, I can tell you this there is a right strategy to prepare
Once you accept this, then definitely the resources, whatever that is available can help you. And definitely don't go for quick tips and quick remedies like this. Always research and take recommendations that are well articulated. And I would also suggest for detailed preparation, definitely try out Srijah's book to master page and talk and it will help you
