I used to finish reading all the poems and stories from my Hindi and English textbooks before the curriculum would start and read poems and stories from my elder sister's books too. By the time I was ten, I had started writing. But then studies took over and writing became secondary. I started my career as a lecturer, but then I moved to corporate world. I worked in different industries in different capacities. However, I wasn't really happy. There was something missing

It was done in a very, what do you say, a random event method which not many writers can think of and correlate. And to my listeners, I would tell I don't want to put any spoilers regarding that short story, but I would definitely suggest you just take and read this short story, because first, you can finish it in one sitting because it's hardly 20 or 25 pages. And in the end, you will be smiling, smiling with the protagonist of the story

So it is my first book and I think I will always be partial towards it. It has different topics, which includes love, betrayal, feminism, patriotism, greed, beauty of nature and human relationships. The poems are relatable and can be read by anyone above 15 years of age. There is a dedicated section for poems celebrating childhood that is my favorite because it's really a nostalgic for me

And SIL I have already mentioned. I've read it. I've already told my readers what my views about it. So now I'm coming to the third question. It's a little quirky, but I thought I should ask this. In your bio you have mentioned that you found it complicated to write about Lao. In fact, actually for every writer, Lao is the easiest subject to write. They keep on writing on Lao. It's various aspects and all

As a poet, I used to find very inferior. How can everyone write about love? And I can't. So I did force myself and I read a lot of other poetry. My first romantic poem was Premca, which is a part of my poetry books. Followed by another poem, He Prayed, which were both well received and loved by my friends. These two poems open the poet in me to poetry on love

Well, I simply love your concept of love and I concur to it. And if I need to sum up your thoughts about love, I would say that romance is a part of love. But love is not romance. Love is much beyond romance, even in a coupled relationship. If you want to explore the beauty of that relationship, romance itself is not enough. You have to explore all other aspects of their love

So of course when you start writing professionally you have to think professionally, take on internships, learn as much as possible, get into the field but yes, you should be mindful of funding your passion and that's the way a to do it. But yes, just go all out, read, write and run through it. Enjoy your life as a writer

So to all those listeners who are listening to Asha Singh's words, I would reiterate that if you are indiscipline about your corporate job and your passion, just look at the funding you have. If you feel you have a good corporate income which can fund your passion, then you can explore the ideas she has mentioned. Of course, learning is important and taking up internship is important. And being open to change and being open to adapt to the content
