If you become a parent, you will know how difficult it is to handle kids and handle house, handle marriage, et cetera. Or are you someone who says, okay, I really want you to relax, breathe and tell me what else is happening and I really want to help. Even though they are your parents, they shouldn't be doing or treating you this way. They don't have any rights to behave this toxic and this negative with you

@miistrygirl - we have no control over the trauma that others bring, but you CAN control what you CHOOSE to filter into your life.

I think the challenge, though, is that as kids, we love our parents so much. We take everything that they say at face value, but as an adult, as a grown up individual, it is also your responsibility to take care of your mental health, to take care of your psychological health. So make sure that whatever you are doing or whoever you're dealing with, always have a filter, your own personal filter that decides what you want to let into your life

Depending upon what kind of bond you share with the other members, your extended family can be of a great help if you have any. So it's very important that children should reach out to the extended family, whether it's their uncles, aunts or their family friends who could come to their support. And it becomes very important that they bring it to the awareness of both the parents. That how badly it's affecting the psychological well being of the kids

I believe that we are in a phase right now on the planet where we're trying to break these toxic cycles. And it takes an immense amount of, again, courage, strength, compassion, to stand up for yourself and say, just because you're my parent doesn't give you the right to treat me any way that you see fit. And I want you to know that this issue that you've brought up is a cross cultural issue

@Astroality Thankyou so much for the good energies ! Lots of love & courage to you 🤍

There are people who understand what is right and wrong and they are willing to even make other people understand. They are willing to make their own parents understand. But then there comes a time where you are just drained. You just see your parents as an individual who is no longer growing mentally, no matter how many examples, no matter how many situations, but you just see yourself repeating the same thing

And I really love my parents. I still love my parents. And growing up, it was very hard because anytime I tried to open my mouth to say anything against the abuse, whether it was towards my mother or whether it was towards us, it never ended well. And since I was dependent on my parents, it's a different issue, right?
