article image placeholderCould China Conquer Taiwanm
This option is probably not going to work, unfortunately, just for the fact that Taiwan's Navy is so far behind the Chinese, with out of the four submarines that Taiwan operates at the moment, two being World War Two era submarines and to build up a Navy that quickly is very difficult. So it may probably not the best option. The second option, and the one advocated for by the Pentagon, is a guerrilla style defense

We take a deep look into whether China actually has the capacity to invade Taiwan. #taiwan #china #analyis #geopolitics #southchinasea

Welcome!

I am not fully aware of the historical context of China, the Taiwan, but I was wondering if the recapturing of Taiwan by 2049, like you said, it was just due to the historical precedent that they set or if their motives are aligned economically. Hopefully you're enjoying as much as we do. Great to virtually meet. You hope to hear from you soon

It's great to be here, I will probably do one of these each day.

It's great to be on as well. It's a cool little platform. I'm looking forward to doing a few more of these summary things and answering some questions on here. And once I got a bit of a following and putting it out to the whole audience and telling people doing short little things here. But yes, economically, it's not that much sense to take Taiwan, Taiwan to take it would be destroying everything it's worth anyway

Thank you 🙏

Michael, thank you for this. I feel like I learned a lot that I didn't know in just a few minutes, which I really enjoyed. So thank you. I just subscribed to your podcast and I'm looking forward to listening to new episodes as they come out. And also I was looking at something you've already put out that I'm Super interested in, so going to be digging into those really looking forward to more. I appreciate just having how clear everything was that you shared

Thank you.

I'll be doing five minute kind of summaries of the show is quite long and goes for an hour and a half for an episode. So it's good to kind of do a bit of a quick run around and a quick summary of a pretty comp Lex topics so you can have a bit of a taste and then go into the full hour and a half of real detailed nitty gritty stuff, which is the stuff I like. But anyway, thanks for the reply

Loveeeeee this!

But then I went to go look at your podcast and notice that you did an episode on Nagorno Karabak and my family's Armenian, and I have been listening to about a half an hour of it and I'm really enjoying it. So please keep them coming. I will be a regular listener. Thanks again

It was an absolute tragedy because it happened right around the US election, where everyone had their mind. Every news station was just focused on the American election. And I think everyone is kind of like Karaoke run under the surface, much like the Georgian invasion of 2008. No one paid attention because the US election took all the oxygen out of the room. So, yeah, definitely one that I kept my eye on

Can’t wait to check it out

And so, yeah, looking forward to jumping in. As always, your episodes are so detailed. I have a lot of information, information, and I'm sure I'll probably have a lot of questions. And so I look forward to chatting with you on Swell about it. Cheers. Bye
