Hey, everybody. Happy Wednesday. Curious, what all of you in Metallicast Curiosity are listening to this week? Any cool bands or albums we should all check out
Hey, thanks for the suggestion. And for the link. I actually had no clue you could share links on here until right now. So thanks for bringing that to my attention. Curious, though, if you have heard of the band to protest the hero since you're into progressive metal, if not, I have included a link of my own to a new song of their latest album, which just came out maybe like a month or so ago
Absolutely hilarious that you recommended Protest because I was going to recommend them to you, but I wasn't sure if the vocal style would be something that you like. I have to say their new album is probably is probably their second best album for me. I've been a fan since because I came out I actually found out about them in 2005. They were on Warp tour and ended up on a compilation CD. So I've been a really long time fan of theirs. I saw them with Tesseract

White some of their best stuff Volition and Pacific Myth, I thought had some quality stuff on it, but it lost me a little bit more than the first three records did, so I was really happy to see them return to Ford form and to really excel on the new one

Okay. So at the moment, I'm listening to a little band from Texas. I think people might have heard of them. They're called Pantera. I'm actually listening to the official Live 101 Proof album right now. Actually, just about to finish set up. And I'm about to move onto Rush Moving Pictures. Since it's Galilee's birthday. Got to celebrate that somewhere right
So you have Death Core, and I think they would be what you would consider maybe progressive Deathcore, just because it's not like all breakdowns or just like, complete guttural vocals. I mean, on their more recent albums, they've had passages that almost sound kind of like Gojira. I remember I saw them once at this tiny venue in Southern California, that this was probably 2013, I would say. And there were maybe 50 people there. And it was just absolutely insane. It was them

Yeah. I'm listening to Cabellotalk, their first album, self titled Kabellar Talk, KBE L-R-T-A-K. They're fantastic out of Norway. Also listening to a lot of Death, Heaven, and pretty much anything by those guys. Ordinary, corrupt, human love, new Bermuda Sunbathe, all fantastic stuff. Besides that, those are some of my babies. Just started listening to the brand new album from 2017, which is called Science Fiction, and it's unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable
Cavellar Tech's new album. Check it out. If you've not checked it out. It is really good, different singer, but he does a fantastic job. They even have a song in English for the first time. And definitely like they're last record. I've liked all their records, but their last record was another level, in my opinion. Thanks for sharing
If you like Death Heaven or like that sort of shoegaze black metal sort of vibe, I would recommend a couple of things. There's a new EP that recently came out by a band called Card with a K Cardashev, and then the latest I Believe it came out last year. Abigail Williams album are two that I just think are absolutely brilliant. Hopefully you will enjoy them as well

Abigail Williams. That is a band name I've not heard of in a while. I really dug the first couple of albums. They were more like Safonic black metal back then
Yeah, they kind of didn't really blow up for a while, and just, you know, we're doing their kind of local show thing grinding away, so to speak. And I don't don't know what exactly prompted me to check them out again. I think a friend was like, Dude, you got to scope this out. And I ended up throwing it on one day, front to back. It was one of the greatest things I've listened to last year
Nice. I dug that Abigail Williams track. I've not heard them since the first couple of records. They have definitely changed a lot. They were like straight up, sephonic black metal. And now, obviously, they kind of stripped the syphonic element away. But I dug that song. So maybe I should check out that album. Here's a band that you might like a band from Germany called Darwin ina Fry Height. Check out the link
