Unplugging from electronics. Do you make this a normal part of your life? Do you cut out time to do this, to get away from your phone, to get away from your computer, your TV, etc

Great topic and good for you for unplugging. This is something I really struggle with and I'm really interested in other people's ideas, and this seems to get worse every year because the things that I actually did to get away from unplugging, I am now using my phone as a part of that. And the examples I'll give exercising and running. I use my phone to track my heart rate, I use it to listen to podcasts, to listen to music. And so it's with me

You move on to C, because I think that a lot of people listen to music and podcasts and things like that while they're running to distract themselves so they can perform better while running run longer because you're not so worried about being worn out while running. So I think that could be a good solution. That as far as skiing, I don't really have a solution. I think that that's one of those things that would be worth not unplugging to learn about

I always have a sheath of waste paper on my side, one sided paper where I can scribble and I have a pen handy every time I'm working, I'm constantly writing, writing, writing, drawing, writing. No matter how hard I try to employ technology with one note, et cetera, I always keep going back to that. I guess I find a lot of joy in the act of just writing, putting down things on paper, the physical activity

Hi, Shawnee. Great to hear from you again. I love to hear your perspective on things. You always have something interesting to say. And I do 100% agree that unplugging is a state of mind, and whether that's setting out a certain amount of time to unplug physically and tell people, hey, this is is what I'm doing or just doing it, or perhaps telling people I'm not planning it or not scheduling. It like I have the thing of planning and scheduling going on

I had my regular books, but a lot of it was just hiking and things like that was that amazing? Yes or no for a bit, it was good. But there were times I was like, okay, this is a bit too much of unplugging. I would like a little bit. The second story I will tell you is we went on vacation to this resort and, of course, resorts. You have WiFi and everything. But I decided that I wanted to spend an unplugged week

I agree with you and Shami. I think that Shawnees right. That unplugging is a sort of state of mind. But I also think that there's a separate, completely different thing that I was personally talking about about completely unplugging from the Internet, phones, computers, TVs, et cetera. I think that it's healthy to take a complete clean break every now and then. I mean, it doesn't have to be for a day or two
